Jamestown Ter-centennial Exposition medals, and Southern Surgical Association memorabilia, 1628-1907.

The collection contains two commemorative medals from the Jamestown Ter-centennial Exposition, Jamestown, Virginia, 1907. The framed medals were awarded to the Borderland Coal Company and to the Stone Printing and Manufacturing Company of Roanoke, Va. The collection also contains a framed commemorative card issued as a souvenir for the December 1931 meeting of the Southern Surgical Association in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. It contains a fragment of the foundation, ca. 1628, of the Guest House on Jamestown Island used as a hospital and a fragment of chimney brick, ca. 1887, from the original building of the Southern Surgical Association in Birmingham, Ala.
